Hybrid 20W-40 API SM/CI4

Lukeron 20W-40 API SM/CI4 Engine oil, or engine lubricant actually refer to well-developed lubricants, including oil, enhanced with additive packages to produce suitable engine lubricants used for lubrication of various internal combustion engines. The main function is to reduce wear on moving parts; it also cleans, inhibits corrosion, improves sealing, and cools the engine by carrying heat away from moving parts.

In engines, there are parts which move against each other, and the friction wastes otherwise useful power by converting the kinetic energy to heat. It also wears away those parts, which could lead to lower efficiency and degradation of the engine. To avoid this, engine oils are used.

Features:

  • 20W40: Meets API SM/CI4
  • Popular for heavy & light duty trucks, tractors, generators, buses & Diesel & petrol cars
  • Improved drained intervals provide excellent value for commercial fleet use.

Benefits:
Engine oils don’t just help prevent sludge, they’re designed to clear away dirt, debris and deposits from engine components and prevent blockage of oil passage ways. The oil locks up the dirt, rendering it harmless until it’s removed at the next oil change. It forms a protective film over your engine components, and has special additives between engine surfaces preventing contact and reducing drag. This helps your engine operate as quietly and effectively in line with what the engineers intended.

Engine oil also protects your hardworking engine components from corrosion over the normal oil-change interval

Technical Info:

  • Engine oil is a lubricant used in internal combustion engines, which power cars, lawnmowers, engine-
    generators, and many other machines.
  • In engines, there are parts which move against each other, and the friction wastes otherwise useful power
by converting the kinetic energy to heat.
  • It also wears away those parts, which could lead to lower efficiency and degradation of the engine. This
increases fuel consumption, decreases power output, and can lead to engine failure.
  • Engine oil creates a separating film between surfaces of adjacent moving parts to minimize direct contact
between them, decreasing heat caused by friction and reducing wear, thus protecting the engine.
  • In use, Engine oil transfers heat through convection as it flows through the engine by means of air flow
over the surface of the oil pan, an oil cooler and through the build-up of oil gases evacuated by the Positive
    Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) system.
