From blend to dispatch

The path of a batch through our plant, in four steps.

  1. 01

    Blend

We blend base oils and additives to the agreed specification in our blending tanks.

  2. 02

    Test in the lab

Every batch is checked in our lab before dispatch. No batch leaves the plant without passing the lab.

  3. 03

    Fill, cap and label

Packs are filled on an automatic filling line, then capped and labelled, from small packs to 210 litre drums.

  4. 04

    Code and dispatch

An inkjet coding printer marks the packs. We then dispatch from our plant in Anandpar, Jamnagar.

What we check

Batch checks include these tests, measured against API, SAE and ISO benchmarks. Which tests apply depends on the product.

Viscosity
How thick the oil is at a set temperature. It decides how well the oil flows and protects.
TBN (total base number)
The oil's reserve to neutralise acids. It is checked on engine oils.
Pour point
The lowest temperature at which the oil still flows. It matters for cold starts.
Flash point
The temperature at which the oil gives off vapour that can ignite. It is a safety and quality check.
Wear resistance
How well the oil protects metal parts that rub together under load.
